Kenilworth Science and Technology Charter School is an open-enrollment, public, college-prep charter school serving more than 500 students from 6th through 8th grades. Kenilworth was converted to a charter school in 2009, and we are proud to be one of the best open-enrollment middle schools in the Baton Rouge area.

Our teachers are expected to be professional, which includes being punctual; ethical; professionally dressed; and respectful of students, parents, colleagues and supervisors.

Kenilworth teachers must be willing to accept feedback, attend all professional development opportunities, make use of data to guide instruction, submit complete lesson plans on time and take responsibility for his/her students' results.

Kenilworth hires teachers with positive attitudes, which includes believing in their students, having high expectations of students, being a problem-solver and being passionate and enthusiastic about work.

Kenilworth teachers maintain a calm, orderly, and clean classroom environment, support their colleagues and school management and embrace change.

Kenilworth teachers must be accessible outside of the school, must support students with extracurricular activities, are willing to provide after school tutoring, small group instruction,  teach at Saturday School, attend all PTO events.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (required)
State teaching credential (required)
Experience working in urban schools (preferred)
